What are the materials used for central air conditioning ventilation accessories?
Ventilation duct material:
Metal sheet:
Ordinary thin steel sheet: It boasts good machinability and structural strength, but its surface is prone to rusting and therefore requires painting for corrosion protection.
Galvanized steel sheet: With a galvanized surface, it offers excellent rust resistance and is commonly used in duct systems in humid environments.
Aluminum and aluminum alloy plates: They have excellent machinability, are corrosion-resistant, and do not easily produce sparks when rubbed—making them commonly used in explosion-proof systems.
Stainless steel plates: rust-resistant and acid-resistant, commonly used in ventilation systems in chemical environments where corrosion resistance is required.
Plastic-coated steel sheet: A layer of plastic is sprayed onto the surface of ordinary steel sheet; it is commonly used in air conditioning systems with high dust-control requirements.
Nonmetallic materials:
Hard polyvinyl chloride plastic sheets: corrosion-resistant, with a smooth surface and easy to fabricate; however, they are not resistant to high temperatures or cold.
Fiberglass: Inorganic fiberglass ducts use medium-alkali glass fibers as reinforcing material and feature characteristics such as light weight, high strength, non-combustibility, high-temperature resistance, and resistance to thermal cycling.
Other materials:
Aluminum foil metal hose: Flexible, highly pressure-resistant, and non-flammable. It simplifies installation work and also provides vibration damping.
Canvas: Such as antibacterial nano-canvas, used for flexible duct connections at air vents, which can prevent cold air from escaping into the ceiling during cooling.
Air vent material:
Wood materials: Suitable for decorating luxurious and high-end spaces, but they tend to warp and crack easily when used for heating in winter.
Aluminum alloy: aesthetically pleasing and elegant, available in a wide variety of colors, lightweight, and cost-effective. However, it may cause condensation during cooling in summer.
ABS material: an emerging resin material that is less prone to deformation and condensation. It offers a wide variety of color options but comes at a higher price.
Rigid PVC material: It boasts advantages such as flame retardancy, high strength, and resistance to climate changes. However, when exposed to hot air in winter, it tends to soften and deform easily and may release harmful gases.
Damper material:
Metal materials—such as galvanized steel sheets and stainless steel plates—are used to manufacture control valves, fire dampers, and other components. They offer excellent structural strength and corrosion resistance.
Other materials: Depending on specific requirements, damper valves may also be made from other materials to meet different environmental conditions.
Ventilation fan material:
Metal materials—such as the casings and blades of centrifugal fans and axial-flow ventilators—are often made from metal to withstand the forces and heat generated during high-speed rotation.
Other materials: Depending on the specific type and application of the fan, other materials such as plastics and composite materials may also be used.
